The Red Sox went on to win the game and lead the series 2-0 heading back to Boston for Sunday’s pivotal Game 3. The Angels are struggling to compete against the Sox, much like the NL leading Cubs against the Dodgers.

This should be a quick series for Boston, who’s looking to meet-up w/ the division rival Rays in the ALCS. The series victory, if it occurs, would be a serious blow to the Angels, who led MLB in wins this year. If the Angels fail to win the series, and it looks seriously doubtful, both of the league’s top two teams will have been eliminated in the 1st round.
