Derek Anderson really came out of nowhere last year to finish as one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. He led the Browns to one of their best seasons (recently) and made the argument of starting Brady Quinn a null issue. Anderson and wide receiver Braylon Edwards helped form one of the top tandems in the NFL for the 2007-2008 season. This year, they won’t sneak up on anybody, but they’re also a better team, so they should be able to compete with just about anybody.

The impact on fantasy is almost nothing, since Anderson will recover and return to the field within about a week to 10 days. I don’t recall him having any previous concussions, so there’s really no reason to waver in your fantasy draft – take Anderson high.
