Kansas City Chiefs president and general manager Carl Peterson has resigned, effective at the end of the season.   Continue reading on NFL.com

The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t exactly been the NFL’s most popular or highest scoring team this year, but they’ve certainly played well enough in situations that Peterson should not be leaving.

The Chiefs really had no QB to speak of until Tyler Thigpen stepped in and surprised a lot of people.  Larry Johnson ran into legal troubles and missed a few games; no doubt costing his team a win or two.  The defense was horrible against the run, but I still believe that they will be ok come next year.

Peterson served close to 20 yrs for the Chiefs and was hired by the club’s (late) owener, Lamar Hunt.  The team had a winning record in 13 of 19 seasons, but is only 2-12 on the year.
