The New York Giants are improving as the playoffs near in large part to a 3-piece running back core known as Earth, Wind and Fire.  Earth (Brandon Jacobs) and Wind (Derrick Ward) are steamrolling opponents enroute to 1,000 yard rushing seasons for both players.  Fire (Ahmad Bradshaw) is now slouch either, but the Ward and Jacobs are close to becoming only the 4th set of teammates to run for over 1,000 yds in the same season.  While Brandon Jacobs uses his power and brute strength to run over the defense, Ward is a faster running back who takes advantage of a tired defense late in the game.
