Less than two weeks after putting a franchise tag on him, the New York Giants signed bruising halfback Brandon Jacobs to a four-year, $25 million contract on Wednesday.   Continue reading on NFL.com

The “Earth” of the New York Giants Earth, Wind & Fire, has been signed to a contract extension, just weeks after being labeled w/ the franchise tag.  The Giants and running back Brandon Jacobs agreed on a 4-yr contract worth approximately $25 million.

The extension will ensure that New York maintains their strong running game for years to come, allowing more time for quarterback Eli Manning in the pocket.  New York still has a minor weakness at wide receiver after losing Plaxico Burress to suspension last year, but should be ok come the regular season.
