John Lynch Retiring From NFL – Hall of Fame Worthy?

John Lynch, a nine-time Pro Bowler with the Denver Broncos and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, will announce his retirement on Monday in Tampa, Fla. Continue reading on NFL.com
There was some hope earlier this season that John Lynch would sign on w/ the New England Patriots, despite being cut before the season started (see related posts below). The Patriots have struggled a bit, but evidently not enough for them to consider using Lynch’s service on the football field.
Lynch has had an illustrious career, winning a Super Bowl w/ the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, while helping to anchor their defense and bringing the franchise out of mediocrity. When his salary became too much for the Bucs to maintain, he moved onto the Denver Broncos, where he had spent the last few years. In Denver, once again, his salary requirements were too high for what the Broncos were looking. In addition, Lynch is no longer a spring-chicken, so teams had a hard time considering him for a starting position (which he would’ve wanted).
I’m not sure that John Lynch is going to make the NFL football Hall of Fame in Canton, but he could certainly be on the cusp for everything he’s done over the years. Jock Jerseys wishes John the best for his life after football
