Aaron Rodgers rewarded w/ $65 million contract extension

The memory of Brett Favre is officially history in the minds of Packers’ management w/ the signing of Aaron Rodgers as the quarterback in Green Bay through 2014.  Despite the fact that the Green Bay Packers are only 4-3, Rodgers was rewarded w/ a 6 yr contract extension.  Watch Rodgers’ Interview

Aaron Rodgers has thrown for over 1,600 yards and has 12 TDs in just 7 games for the Packers.  Compared w/ Brett Favre’s stats this season, it would appear that Aaron is the winner to-date.  Favre is simply too careless w/ the football (11 INTs), while Rodgers has the Packers competitive in nearly every game.

The Packers will face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday in a match-up that could easily leave GB at 4-4.  The Titans are 7-0 and have looked strong all season w/ a strong running game and defense.  Rodgers and the rest of the Packers’ players have a tough challenge ahead of them.
