The Carolina Panthers have suspended receiver Steve Smith two games for his involvement in a training camp fight with cornerback Ken Lucas.
In terms of the full Panthers season, the suspension of Steve Smith may end up costing Carolina a playoff berth. Smith is easily the team’s biggest offensive threat and he when he plays (& catches), their chances of winning increase significantly.
Missing two full games will not only hurt Steve’s team and his wallet; fantasy football managers are going to be second guess drafting Smith in one of the first few rounds. Despite missing two games, however, Smith is still the type of wide receiver who can blow up fantasy scores and finish the season close to the top.
