Reggie Bush returned to the New Orleans Saints‘ lineup on Thursday night, but did not have the explosiveness that we have come to expect.  In the loss, Bush was less than effective and clearly outplayed by Pierre Thomas.

With the NFL playoffs seemingly out of the picture, it appears that Saints’ coach Sean Payton will allow Reggie to rest and get healthy for next year.  The left knee injury occured in the game against the Chicago Bears and Bush was removed from the lineup, despite his willingness to continue.  Good move by the Saints to take him out and ensure that he is available next year.
