These 4 players all definitely have a good shot of getting into the NFL Hall of Fame on their 1st attempt this year.
Bruce Smith was a monster as a Buffalo Bills DE, as was John Randle w/ the Minnesota Vikings, while Rod Woodson terrorized quarterbacks w/ several NFL teams – most notably the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Offensively, Shannon Sharpe helped redefine the tight end position w/ the Denver Broncos.
Exceptional players who all played a major role in the 80’s and 90’s. John Randle is the only one of the 4 not to reach the Super Bowl during their career. Smith went to at least 4 w/ Buffalo (all losses), while Woodson was w/ the Ravens during their run and Shannon Sharpe anchored the Broncos attack in the late 90’s repeat.
