The NBA‘s newest (relocated) franchise, the Oklahoma City Thunder, are getting ready to open the 2008-2009 season in style w/ the release of their new home & away basketball jerseys. The jerseys appear to be a mix between the Hawks & the Grizzlies, but still have a flavor all their own as you can see from the media photo of Joe Smith above.
This season, the Thunder should feature an improved squad featuring Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, newcomers Joe Smith, Desmond Mason and rookie point guard Russell Westbrook. Fresh off their move from Seattle, the Thunder look to start a new chapter in Oklahoma City, away from all the controversy and turmoil surrounding the former Sonics’ franchise.
